Greeting from the Patron of the Camp

The patron of the HÄLY 2026 camp is Director General of Rescue Services Kimmo Kohvakka. His support highlights the camp’s significance in promoting competence, community spirit, and safety. Below you can read his greeting to the camp participants.
Next summer, the HÄLY 2026 camp will once again invite young people aged 7–17 who are members of volunteer fire brigades to Masku to learn important firefighting skills, strengthen their expertise, and grow into pillars of support for their communities. The core of volunteer firefighting is action, skills, and working together. This is precisely the power of volunteerism that keeps our communities safe and strong.
I am both proud and genuinely delighted to be the patron of this valuable camp. At the camp, every participant has the opportunity to practice, challenge themselves, and find their place as part of a traditional and valuable volunteer activity. HÄLY 2026 provides an environment where skills are acquired and capabilities are developed in a way that strengthens and builds a safer everyday life far into the future.
I warmly wish enthusiasm and success to all camp participants and those responsible for organizing it. Together, we will build an experience that strengthens youth firefighting work and inspires a new generation of skilled and community-minded firefighters.
