Hey you – thanks for being there! You could be one of the persons irreplaceable for the HÄLY 2026 camp and the young firefighters, ensuring a safe and memorable camp for everyone.
The International Youth Firefighters’ Camp HÄLY 2026 taking place in Masku in 11-17.7.2026 brings together about 2,000 eager children and young persons to learn, practice, and experience unforgettable moments. To make sure everything goes well, about a thousand volunteer members of staff and partners are needed on site to support the event. Working with us is not only a good thing, it also makes a concrete impact on youth firefighting activities. Join us in telling the HÄLY 2026 camp story!

Complete the Safely at a Youth Firefighters’ Camp online course now
The safety of the HÄLY 2026 camp is built on shared rules and on ensuring that every staff member knows how to act in different situations. For this reason, we strongly recommend that all camp staff complete the Safely at a Youth Firefighters’ Camp online course before the camp begins.
The course provides a solid foundation in the principles of a safe space and the specific needs of camp activities. Its purpose is to offer information and practical guidance to camp staff on matters related to psychosocial safety, helping to make the camps even better.
Completing the course will help you work with greater confidence and consistent practices – and at the same time, it contributes to creating a safer environment for all camp participants. The course is easy to complete at your own pace. Please note that the course is available only in Finnish and Swedish. Going through the material takes approximately 30 minutes. Kääntäjät/ TRANSLATORS /ÖVERSÄTTARE
Haetaan KÄÄNTÄJIÄ ja TULKKEJA!
HÄLY 2026 kokoaa yhteen palokuntanuoria eri puolilta maailmaa, tule mukaan tekemään kansainvälistä suurleiriä!
Leirin pääkielet ovat englanti ja ruotsi, mutta tarvitsemme käännös- ja tulkkausapua myös muilla kielillä.
Etsimme vapaaehtoisia kääntäjiä ja tulkkeja, jotka voivat auttaa:
Leirin tiedotuksessa ja materiaalien kääntämisessä (some, verkkosivut)
Paikan päällä tapahtuvassa tulkkauksessa (esim. koulutuksissa, infoissa, ensiavussa)
Kulttuurien välisessä kommunikaatiossa vapaa-ajalla
Kokemus tulkkauksesta tai kääntämisestä on plussaa, mutta tärkeintä on kielitaito ja halu auttaa kansainvälisessä ympäristössä. Kääntäminen tapahtuu etänä (sähköposti) ennen leiriä ja leirillä sekä livenä (puhekielinen tulkkaus) leirin aikana.

Vi söker ÖVERSÄTTARE och TOLKAR!
HÄLY 2026 samlar brandkårsungdomar från flera olika länder och nu har du en möjlighet att komma med och jobba för det internationella brandkåsungdomslägret!
Lägrets huvudspråk är finska, svenska och engelska, men vi behöver även hjälp med översättning och tolkning till andra språk.
Vi letar efter frivilliga översättare och tolkar som kan hjälpa med bl.a:
Lägrets kommunikation och översättning av material (some, hemsida)
Tilkning på plats (t.ex. vid utbildning, infotillfällen och första hjälpen)
Kommunikation mellan olika kulturer på fritiden
Om du har erfarenhet av översättning eller tolkning så är det en fördel, med det viktigaste är språkkunskap och en vilja att hjälpa till. Översättningen sker på distans (e-post) innan lägret samt live (tolkning) under lägret.

We’re looking for TRANSLATORS and INTERPRETERS!
HÄLY 2026 is gathering youth firefighters from around the world, be part of our team to make an international grand camp!
The primary languages of the camp are English and Swedish, but we need translating and interpretation assistance in other languages as well.
We are looking for volunteer translators and interpreters who can assist with:
Camp announcements and material translation (social media, websites)
onsite interpretation (e.g. during lessons, info spots, first aid station)
Cultural exchange related communications during free time
Experience with interpretation or translating is beneficial, but the most important factor is your linguistic skills and the ability to help in an international environment.
Written translation will take place remotely (through email) before and during the camp, as well as live (spoken interpretation) during the camp.
