The materials library will be expanded and updated throughout the preparations for the camp and during the camp itself. Be sure to visit this page regularly to access the latest materials and the most up-to-date instructions.

Medication Storage During Camp
Use the button below to find instructions on how campers’ medications should be stored and handled during the camp. Careful preparation helps daily life run smoothly at camp and ensures everyone’s safety. Please read the instructions carefully before arriving at the camp and make sure all necessary medication information is included.
We recommend that young people’s prescription medications taken on a regular basis be stored at the camp hospital.
If a young person has prescription medications taken as needed (e.g., asthma medication for acute symptoms or migraine medication), the medication should be kept by the young person themselves. The same applies to over-the-counter medications, such as pain relievers and allergy medication. These can be kept either by the young person themselves or by the fire brigade’s designated representative.
NOTE! If an adult is responsible for storing the young person’s prescription medications that are taken regularly and ensures that the medication is stored properly, does not go missing, and does not fall into the wrong hands, the medication may also be stored within the fire brigade itself and does not need to be stored in the camp hospital.
Material packages for dealing with disappointment
How do you deal with disappointment if you didn’t get into the course you wanted?
We have compiled separate material packages for both young participants and adult campers to help deal with disappointment in a situation where the desired course did not take place. The adults’ material package provides support on how to handle disappointment together with a young person. Explore the packages below for more details!
Pre-camp Materials for Fire Brigades
This section contains all pre-camp materials intended for fire brigades. The materials are designed to support your preparations for the camp and include important information and instructions to help you get ready before the camp begins.
READY-MADE PRESENTATION PACKAGE FOR PARENTS’ EVENING
We want to make organizing a parents’ evening as easy as possible for fire brigades. That’s why we have put together a ready-made camp presentation that fire brigades can use at a parents’ evening for the guardians of young participants already before the camp. Our goal is to ensure that as many camp participants as possible, together with their guardians, receive a clear and timely overview of the camp and its practical arrangements.
The presentation includes the camp’s general information and can be used as such. The final slide is reserved for the fire brigade’s own information – it can be freely edited and, if needed, duplicated to include multiple slides according to the brigade’s needs. Please note that the presentation is currently available in Finnish and Swedish.
If you have any questions or need support in using the materials, the camp communications team will be happy to help: viestinta@haly2026.fi.
