Safe Camp Spirit – Greetings from Safety and Medical Services
Greetings from the Safety Team to Camp Participants
Please come to camp with a positive camp spirit and follow our shared rules – this helps ensure a safe and enjoyable camp experience for everyone. The camp safety organization is responsible for maintaining order and safety in the camp area and ensuring that everyone can participate in activities safely.
Move calmly around the camp area and follow all instructions and signs provided. Take care of your own belongings as well as shared property, label your belongings, and do not bring prohibited items or substances to camp. Alcohol, any kind of intoxicants, and other factors that compromise safety do not belong at camp.
When moving around in the dark, use a headlamp or other light source and be considerate of others. Also follow any movement restrictions and quiet hours. Shared rules help everyone rest and cope better during camp.
If you notice a dangerous situation, unauthorized persons in the camp area, disruptive behaviour, or anything else related to safety, report it immediately to the safety team or camp leadership. Even a small observation may be important.
You can easily recognize members of the safety team by their clearly visible yellow and orange vests. You can always turn to us if you have questions, need assistance, or are concerned about a situation. We are here for you.
In an emergency, first call 112 and then the camp emergency number +358 41 484 4791. For non-urgent matters, you can contact the safety supervisors at +358 41 484 4798.
Let’s take care of one another together – that’s how we make camp safe and successful for everyone!

Greetings from the Medical Team to Camp Participants
Please come to camp only if you are healthy. However, if you become ill or injure yourself during camp, the medical team is here to help. The camp infirmary is located at Kurittula School (Koulukuja 1) and is open at all times. You can also call us: +358 46 680 4220.
In sunny weather, wear a hat and apply sunscreen to your skin. Water or sparkling water are the best drinks – keep your own bottle with you. Energy drinks are not allowed at camp. Change into clean socks and underwear every day. Also remember to wash your hands after using the toilet and before meals to help stay healthy.
Remember to eat at every meal so that you have enough energy. Treats belong in the camp canteen, not as part of the main meals. If you have prescription medication, bring it to the camp infirmary for storage. Also bring your own allergy medication and pain relievers if you think you may need them. Make sure to get a good night’s sleep.
Phones should be put away after quiet hours so that you can truly rest. You can recognize members of the medical team by their green vests and white cross. Feel free to come and say hello when you see us on our rounds.
In an emergency, first call 112 and then the camp emergency number +358 41 484 4791.
Have a fun and safe camp!
