Didn’t get a spot in the course you wanted to take?
The youth fire fighters’ camp, above all, a shared experience: learning, friendship, adventures, and fire brigade spirit. It’s these elements that create the best memories.
It’s perfectly normal to feel disappointed if you don’t get into the course you wanted, since spots are limited. All courses provide essential knowledge and skills, and nothing you learn is unnecessary. The camp is still a fantastic experience as a whole, and the courses are just one part of it.
Well-being Coordinators from the Accountability sector has compiled advice to help manage disappointment, for both young people and adults, so that you don’t have to deal with the feeling alone. You can read the full guidelines on the camp’s website under the tabs “News” and “For Campers.” You can also find the instructions via the buttons below.
